New pictures!

Finally! I was like a kid with my nose pressed up against the glass of my front door. I couldn’t wait to get the proofs from the printer of my new Blues Guitar Secrets books…

They look great!

I’m soooooo excited. Man, I put a LOT of work into creating these things. And it was NOT easy! I created all the musical diagrams using Final Guitar, which is THE notation program for guitar. I transcribed everything in the Blues Guitar Secrets videos AND the Jam Tracks CD.

Then I had to export all the images from Finale to a graphic design program. It was TON of work!

Anyway, here’s a picture of the three books that come with the course (pardon the bad picture, I was in a hurry!)…

Blues Guitar Secrets Course Books

The book on the left is called, “Mastering the Pentatonic and Blues Scales”. The one in the middle is the, “DVD Companion.” It gives you EVERYTING that I play in all four-hours of the video. The book on the right is called, “Complete, Step-By-Step Guide To The Jam Tracks CD!” It’s a note-for-note transcription all the jam tracks that we recorded in the studio.

There are 143 musical examples in these books…. I know because I painstakingly created each one by hand!

Anyway, I’m totally stoked…

Everyone’s been asking two BIG questions:

1) When is this thing going to be released?
Right now, I’m shooting for Tuesday, Dec 12. That will be the “big day” when the first edition copies become available for shipping. Note: this date could change. I’ll let you know if it does.

2) What’s it going to cost?

This is tough. I still don’t know. I didn’t want to “skimp” on this course. So, as you can see I had the books “saddle-stitched” rather than using a spriral coil. This is a more expensive option, but it looks better and the pages are less likely to get torn out. Also, I request opaque paper so there would be no bleed through on all the musical examples.

Anyway the short answer is… “I don’t know yet.”

There’s going to be 2 DVD’s with 4 hours of blues guitar instuction AND a Jam-Track CD AND the three course books you see above AND some other “bonuses” that I haven’t finished just yet. (Nice run-on sentence, eh?)

But I’ll let you know as soon as I do. I do know it’s going to be less than $200. There will definately be a “gold edition” and a “standard edition”. But I’m not sure of the pricing yet.

So, mark Dec 12 down on your calendar! There will be a limited number of first-edition courses available. So, if you’re planning on getting a copy this year, you’ll definately want to get in on the first day.

That’s all for now. I will definately be in touch soon.

Please don’t forget to leave your comments/questions below!

Cheers,

Dan Denley

FAQ & Sneak Peak at “Blues Guitar Secrets”

Hi Everyone!

Today I want to GIVE YOU part of my new, “Blues Guitar Secrets” course. :-)

In this new course I teach blues guitar scales in two variations, blues guitar chord progressions, standard 12-bar blues with chord substitutions, strumming technqiues, solo licks articulation and whole lot more. I’m getting tons of questions emailed to me everyday. So, I’d like to go ahead and answer a few of them for you now:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q. “What is ‘Blues Guitar Secrets’ anyway?”
A. It’s one of the most comprehensive, step-by-step methods for learning and mastering blues guitar. I’m not saying you’re going to be B.B. King in a week. But, I assure you, if you practice you’ll be playing some serious blues guitar VERY quickly…

Q. “What exactly is included in the course?”
A. I’m not 100% finished yet. But here’s what I know so far. There will be two, DVD’s with video instruction. There’s also a Jam Track CD with several, full-band tracks (that I recorded in a professional studio) for you to play along with and practice your solo skills. There will be at least two course-books (possibly more). And several bonuses that I haven’t finished yet. I’m definately hoping to make one of the bonuses a “forum” for people who get the course. That way, everyone can learn from each other, which is really cool. Let me know what you think about this idea (leave a comment below)…

Q. “When is Blues Guitar Secrets going to be available?”
A. A LOT of people keep asking this. I don’t konw the exact date yet, but I’m pretty sure that I’m going to be able to release it to the public in early December. I’ll definately let you know as soon as I do. (Make sure you sign-up for priority notification about the release of “Blues Guitar Secrets”. Click here to Join The Insiders).

Q. “Is it going to be physical product or a downloadable?”
A. This is going to be a physical product that is shipped to your front door. There is TON of information in this course. And it would take a LONG time to download. So, at this point, it’s going to be a 100% physical product. I may create a download version in the future. But, right now, I don’t have any plans to do so.

Q. “What’s Blues Guitar Secrets going to cost?”
A. Everybody is asking me this question. Most people are worried that it’s going to be REALLY expensive because of all the information that’s included. There’s at LEAST a year’s worth of lessons in this home-study course. Even at $30 per lesson that’s almost $1,500 a year in private lessons. I can tell you it’s not going to be anywhere near that much! So, right now, I just don’t know. But, I’m pretty sure it’s going to be less than $200…

Actual Jam Track #2 from “Blues Guitar Secrets”

Ok, so here’s an actual jam track from the course. This is the 2nd track on the CD. I’ve included the tablature (complete with chord diagrams and theoretical analysis) and the track.

P.S. One last thing… there’s a real possibility that this course could sell out of the initial release. My students who’ve purchased Amazing Guitar Secrets have been asking me on a weekly basis, “When’s your next big thing?” And they’re pretty stoked that I’ve FINALLY decided to create a new course…

So, if you’re serious about mastering blues guitar, please Join The Insiders. This group of “insiders” will get to jump on the course the day (and hour) it becomes available. And it’s coming, soon. VERY SOON!

New course details!

Ok, here’s the deal…

I’ve been working like an insane-person lately. My neighbors have seen this strange “glow” coming from the window of my upstairs studio (very late at night).

I’ve been practicing to get my chops up. And I’ve been doing a lot of “studying”…

As you know I like a stone’s throw away from the Mississippi Delta: the real home of the blues. You see, as blues guitar started to develeop, the players from the Delta (the flat, farming country in north Mississippi) came north to Memphis to showcase their music… right here on Beale street.

I grew up in Coldwater, MS which is way out in the stix. Just flat, hot farm country. And my family moved to Memphis when I was 10. So, I spent many-a-night prowling around Beale St. watching street-musicians and blues guitarists of all shape and sizes (including the blues-guitar-god, B.B. King).

Anyway, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about how I can help other guitarist take advantage of this incredible blues guitar heritage that I’ve been blessed with.

So, I decided to create a few blues guitar vidoes to give away to my friends (yeah, that would be you). :-)

I asked for feedback, and everyone has LOVED the lessons I’ve been sending out lately! Which is soooooo cool, because I luv, luv, LUV teaching this stuff, because it’s so close to my heart and my background… I guess you could say, “It’s in my blood”. Litterally.

Anyway, back to the course…

At this point I’m really not ready to release any more details. Because I’m still writing, researching the “great ones” and practicing.

I will tell you that I spent some time in a local studio making some blues recordings with some AMAZING musicians. It was great to collaborate with other folks… which is one of the things I enjoy most about music: you get to interact with other people! Cool.

OK, so that’s about it for now…

If you’re interested in learning blues guitar, you’ll definately want to keep your eyes on this website blog. I’m going to be posting information as it’s available and there will definately be stuff that I post here that will NOT be included in an email that I send.

I’m also very interested in your comments and questions. Please leave them here on the blog on the “comments” section at the bottom of this (and any other post). I will try to my best to answer your questions as I see them posted here.

Cheers!

Dan Denley

My new course…

Hey Folks,

I’ve got some VERY exciting news…

It’s been almost 18 months since I released
my Amazing Guitar Secrets course. And not a
week has gone by without someone asking me
the same question…

“Dan, when is your next guitar-course
coming out?”

And up until today my answer has always been
the same…

“I don’t know.”

But notice how I said, “up until today.” :-)

I’d like to make an announcement…

I’m working on some MAJOR stuff.

I’ve been insanely busy researching the
techniques of the great players, practicing,
writing, recording at the studio and
attending video sessions…

I’m planning to release more details of
exactly what I’m working on tomorrow
(possibly Thursday). So, stay tuned…

ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS:
———————

Last week I got a boat-load of questions
about Tony Aja’s “Guitar-Leads” course…

Q. How many volumes do I need to order to get
Dan’s 1-hour, “Theory Analysis” video-
tutorials?

A. There was some confusion about this.
Sorry. Here’s the bottom line: You need to
own all four volumes.

NOTE: It doesn’t matter if you purchased them
2 years ago, or yesterday. Just complete your
email me at dan[at]amazingguitarsecrets.com”
with the subject line, “I grabbed all 4 volumes of
Tony’s course!” I’ll verify your order with
Tony and email you a secret link to watch the
videos.

Q. “Is this an internet scam?”

A. No. Do you really think that I’d tell you
to go grab a course that I hadn’t researched,
first? Look, Tony is a first-class dude. I
own his 4-volume set. It’s an excellent way
to add tons of new material to your playing,
fast. His site and it’s 100% safe and secure.
(Or you can order by telephone or mail). And
I assure you, he’ll ship your course in about
24 hours.

Q. “Can I download the program?”

A. Yes. There was confusion about this, too.
Sorry. I kept saying, “CD” in my last email.
But actually you can get the physical CD’s
shipped to you OR you can download the whole
thing.

Q. “Why should I even bother with this
course?”

A. To give yourself a massive “arsenal” of
leads, riffs and licks that you can pull out-
of-the-hat at any time. You’ll be able to
modify what you learn to create your own
fills and riffs. And because you need to
learn the styles and techniques of other
players do help develop your own. For the
same reason that Eric Johnson had to learn
Jimi Hendrix before he become “Eric Johnson.”

Q. “Isn’t the limited-time markdown just a
marketing gimmick?”

A. No. If you want to take advantage of
this special deal, you need to get in
by about 6:00PM Eastern time, Thursday, Nov
9th.

Important! Be sure to type the word
“amazing” in the promo code field when you
get to the order page. (Otherwise, you won’t
get the markdown.)

P.S. You’ll notice that Tony’s special page
says for “Dan Denley’s Subscribers” only. I
checked with Tony and he said that it’s OK to

of this special deal (even they’re not a
